Waist, inseam and pocket weight: picking cargo and jogger rows that fit and ship cheaply

Last updated .

Short answer: A pair of cargos or joggers from a LitBuy sheet is estimated at 0.60 kg, so it lands in the 1 kg price step: a hypothetical ¥150 pair came to €54.12 delivered to Germany on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE using the 27 Oct 2026 estimator, and two pairs came to €92.49. Read the waist in cm, find out whether it is flat or doubled, and use the QC photos to confirm width.

Waist, inseam and rise: reading a Chinese trouser listing

A trouser row is only usable once you have three numbers from the listing: waist (腰围), trouser length (裤长) and, for cargos and wide legs, hem width (脚口). Many Taobao and Weidian pages give a flat-lay measurement, meaning the garment is laid on a table and measured across one layer. If a waist reads 39 cm flat, the full circle is 78 cm, or about 30.7 in. Others print the doubled figure, so read the small print under the size table before comparing it with your own trousers.

Size labels come in three styles: letters (S to 5XL), waist numbers (28 to 36), and height-and-waist pairs. Measure a pair you already like, lay it flat, and compare that figure line by line. Waist conversions: 70 cm = 27.6 in, 74 cm = 29.1 in, 78 cm = 30.7 in, 82 cm = 32.3 in, 86 cm = 33.9 in. Our Chinese size chart guide and the size converter cover the other garments, and /files/chinese-size-sheet.csv is a plain table you can keep.

Find out whether a waist figure is flat or doubled before you trust it.

Cargohose, jogger or straight leg: six styles you will meet

Rows in this category cluster into a handful of shapes. The grid above shows live examples from the 10,000+ product catalogue behind this site; the table gives each style an estimated weight (our planning assumption of 0.60 kg for pants and cargos, which we did not weigh) and the check that matters most.

Pants styles in LitBuy sheets, with estimated weight and the first thing to check
StyleExample priceEst. weightCheck first
Cargo, six pockets¥150 (≈ €23.70)0.60 kgPocket depth and hem width
Parachute-style wide leg¥130 (≈ €20.54)0.60 kgDrawcord hem, lining or none
Straight-leg work trouser¥120 (≈ €18.96)0.60 kgTwill weight and waist stretch
Fleece jogger¥90 (≈ €14.22)0.60 kgCuff width and brushed lining
Nylon track pant¥80 (≈ €12.64)0.60 kgZip pockets and side stripe print
Pleated tailored trouser¥140 (≈ €22.12)0.60 kgWaist band hook and crease

Prices in the table are examples we chose for the maths, not quotes, and euro figures use LitBuy's displayed rate of ¥1 ≈ €0.158 (27 Oct 2026), which is higher than a typical bank rate. LitBuy's own page may show the CNY price a percent or two above a sheet's figure, so the checkout total in your currency is the number that counts.

Six shapes cover most rows, and all of them land near the same estimated weight.

Why cargos weigh more than the label suggests

Every pocket adds fabric, a flap and often a snap or zip. A cargo with six pockets can sit well above a plain jogger even when both say "cotton". The seller's weight field, where one exists, is the only per-item figure to trust, and the LitBuy product pages we opened on 27 Oct 2026 showed no weight. We use 0.60 kg as an estimate for the whole category, so treat the band maths below as a planning tool and expect a gap of a few hundred grams either way.

That gap matters because LitBuy's tax-free Germany line prices in steps: at or under 500 g, at or under 1 kg and at or under 2 kg. One pair of cargos at an estimated 0.60 kg falls into the 1 kg step, so a lighter pair costs the same as a heavier one until the next step. A thin nylon track pant might come in lighter, but nothing in the listing proves it.

Cargo pockets push a pair past 500 g, so plan on the 1 kg step.

The euro maths to Germany: one pair, two pairs, pair plus tee

Method: item price in CNY × 0.158, plus LitBuy's all-in estimator price on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE for the smallest step that fits the estimated weight. That all-in figure includes the EU tariff prepayment. For 1 kg the estimator showed €30.42 on 27 Oct 2026; the fee breakdown has its own page at the landed price calculator.

A ¥150 pair of cargos, then two pairs, then pair plus a ¥60 tee

One pair: ¥150 × 0.158€23.70

Shipping, est. 0.60 kg (1 kg step)€30.42

One pair alone, landed in Germany€54.12

Two pairs: 2 × €23.70€47.40

Shipping, est. 1.20 kg (2 kg step)€45.09

Two pairs, landed (about €46.25 each)€92.49

Pair + ¥60 tee: €23.70 + €9.48€33.18

Shipping, est. 0.85 kg (1 kg step)€30.42

Pair and tee, landed€63.60

The tee adds €9.48 to the bill for an item that costs €9.48, because it rides in a step already paid for. For the UK, one pair sits in the 1 kg step at £16.83 (FF-Royalmail-GB-1, 27 Oct 2026) and two pairs at £28.38. For the US, ZF-GOFO-US-1 showed $41.17 and $72.41 for the same steps; the ¥150 pair is about $26.55 at LitBuy's ¥1 ≈ $0.177. At LitBuy's UK display rate of ¥1 ≈ £0.132, the same pair is about £19.80.

A tee in the parcel costs its own price, not another shipping fee, as long as the step holds.

What to look at in trouser QC photos

LitBuy takes routine photos, generally three to six, and extra shots cost ¥1 each (about €0.16). For trousers, ask for these four extras if the free set skips them:

  • Waistband flat with a tape measure laid across it, so the flat figure can be doubled and compared with the listing.
  • Both pockets open, to see depth and lining.
  • The hem and cuff flat, which shows width and any fraying.
  • The zip and button close up, worked from top to bottom.

LitBuy checks quantity, colour, size and visible damage, but colour difference and wear effect are not covered, so your own comparison matters. The QC photos guide walks through the order of checks, and the QC finder shows where to find photos before you buy. No video service applies to trousers; the ¥7 video is for footwear only.

Measure waist and hem from the photo, not from the label.

Filling a parcel around a pair of pants

Pants leave 400 g free inside the 1 kg step in our estimates, which is room for a tee (0.25 kg) and a cap (0.15 kg). The how-to on combining parcels explains the step logic, and light add-ons under 200 g lists fillers such as socks and cases. Related shapes live on hoodies, tees and summer shorts.

For buyers with no LitBuy account: send the row to us via the WhatsApp QR on the contact page, with one delivered price, photos before dispatch, pay per order.

Pair every trouser row with something light, not another heavy pair.

Where trouser rows come from, and a note for Germany

Pants rows can be found through creator link pages on Beacons and thread posts on Reddit. In German the words are "Cargohose" and "Jogginghose". Check each row's age against the 27 Oct date above, because a removed listing shows "The product has been removed from the shelves." The Germany page lists the DHL lines these prices use, and the category index shows the other libraries.

Confirm the item still exists before you plan a parcel around it.

Pants questions, answered

Which number on a trouser listing is the waist, and is it flat or doubled?

The waist is the figure labelled 腰围, and it is often a flat-lay measurement taken across one layer. Double it for the full circle: a flat 39 cm is 78 cm, about 30.7 in. Some sellers print the doubled figure instead, so read the note under the table. Compare against a pair you already own, measured the same way, laid flat.

Do cargo pants fit inside LitBuy's 500 g price step?

Not on our estimate. We plan pants and cargos at 0.60 kg, which falls in the 1 kg step: €30.42 shipping to Germany on LIT-Economy-DHL-DE on 27 Oct 2026, against €23.08 for the 500 g step. A thin nylon track pant could come in under, but we saw no weight figure on the LitBuy product pages we opened on 27 Oct 2026, so plan on 1 kg.

How much does a second pair add to the parcel?

A second ¥150 pair adds €23.70 for the item and moves the parcel from the 1 kg step (€30.42) to the 2 kg step (€45.09), a rise of €14.67 in shipping. Two pairs landed at €92.49 in our worked example, about €46.25 each, against €54.12 for one pair alone. Estimated weights, not measured ones.

Which QC photos matter most for trousers?

Ask for the waistband laid flat with a tape across it, both pockets open, the hem or cuff flat, and the zip or buttons close up. Extra photos cost ¥1 each, about €0.16 at LitBuy's displayed rate. LitBuy does not cover colour difference or wear effect, so measure the waist from the photo yourself before the parcel ships.

Can I add a tee to a pants order without paying more shipping?

Usually yes, if the total stays inside the step. A ¥150 pair at an estimated 0.60 kg plus a ¥60 tee at 0.25 kg gives 0.85 kg, still in the 1 kg step at €30.42 to Germany. The tee then costs only its own €9.48. Over 1 kg, the next step starts, so check the total weight.

Where do I convert a waist in cm to a German label size?

Divide the waist in cm by 2.54 for inches, so 78 cm is about 30.7 in. Chinese letter sizes rarely match German ones, so compare measurements rather than the letter. The size converter on this site and the chart in the downloads give a starting table for the other garments.
